FAQs

1. What if we want additional photography time? Additional shooting time will be charged at $250 per hour or part thereof.

2. What if our event is out of town? Just cover our travel fees, lodging, in addition to our regular fees. Mileage will be billed at the gov’t rate beyond a 30-mile radius of our studio. If travel time is beyond 3 hours total (there and back), the minimum collection booked must be Collection One - even if total hours included are not needed.

3. Do you retouch the photos? Your photo order will be professionally color corrected. Anything beyond (blemish/stray hair) will be charged $25 an image.

4. What if you have an emergency and you can’t make it to our event? Please see the terms and conditions.

5. What is needed to retain your services? A non-refundable $500 retainer and a signed contract.

6. Oh no! Our event was canceled or postponed – will we get our retainer back? This would be very unfortunate; however, the retainer is non – refundable. If the event needs to be postponed or scheduled for a further date due to an act of God, or other cause beyond the control of the parties, if REUTER STUDIOS is available on the new proposed date then the retainer may be transferred to the new date. If REUTER STUDIOS is not available for the new date, the Client understands that the retainer and all monies paid are non-refundable.

7. Can you hold the date for me? Sadly no, a contract and retainer are needed.

8. Who owns the rights to the photographs? By law, I do. I have the right to use the photographs on the Internet, website, and promotion and in print indefinitely. You may not sell, change or alter the digital images. This would be an infringement of my copyright.

9. When is my outstanding balance due? Your final balance will be due 30 days prior to your event. Please note, a 1.5% monthly finance charge is added to all past due balances. All packages and prices are subject to change.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Heidi E. Reuter Photography and REUTER STUDIOS may hereinafter be referred to as Heidi E. Reuter Photography, Heidi E. Reuter or HER. Client may hereinafter be referred to as Client.
It is understood this Heidi E. Reuter Photography is the exclusive official photographer retained to perform the photographic services requested on this contract.
A non-refundable retainer is due at the time of booking. Upon signature, Heidi E. Reuter Photography will reserve the time and date agreed upon, and will not make other reservations for that time and date. For this reason, all retainers are non-refundable, even if the date of the event is changed or the event is canceled for any reason.
If Heidi E. Reuter Photography cannot fulfill this Contract due to fire or another casualty, strike, the act of God, or other cause beyond the control of Heidi E. Reuter Photography, or due to illness or emergency, then Heidi E. Reuter Photography shall return only the retainer to the Client but shall have no further liability with respect to the contract. This limitation on liability shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or media malfunction, lost in the mail, or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the photographer.
If the event needs to be postponed or scheduled for a further date due to an act of God, or other cause beyond the control of the parties, if Heidi E. Reuter Photography is available on the new proposed date then the retainer may be transferred to the new date. If Heidi E. Reuter Photography is not available for the new date, the Client understands that the retainer and all monies paid are non-refundable.
In the event the photographer fails to perform for any other reason, Heidi E. Reuter Photography shall not be liable for any amount in excess of the retail value of the client’s order. The client releases Heidi Reuter from all liabilities, claims, and damages that may result from any accidents or incidents that may happen during the session.
The charges in this Contract are based on Heidi E. Reuter Photography's standard price list. This price list is adjusted periodically and future orders shall be charged at the prices in effect at the time when the order is placed.
Heidi E. Reuter Photography is not responsible for loss, theft or damages of the Client’s personal property or the personal property of the Client’s family.

COOPERATION:

The parties agree to positive cooperation and communication for the best possible result within the definition of this assignment.
Heidi E. Reuter Photography is not responsible for key individuals’ failure to be present or to cooperate during photography sessions, neither for missed images due to details not revealed to Heidi E Reuter Photography.
Heidi E. Reuter Photography should be made aware of any cultural or faith aspects of the event that will enable her to produce the best pictures for the day.
Heidi E. Reuter Photography is not liable for any images that are missed during the session/event.

GUEST COOPERATION:

The Client is responsible for the conduct of their guests. Client will direct all other service providers (florist, caterer, etc.) to provide any needed information and cooperation to the photographer. Coordination with other service providers is necessary to complete all the photography sessions as scheduled.
The Client should share the photography schedule with other service providers to make sure that there is no conflict in times. In addition, events during the event day should be planned to make the best use of time from all vendors.
Heidi E Reuter Photography will not tolerate verbally or physically abusive behavior, nor will it share its time or compete with guest photographers for the attention of the subjects.
Unchecked guest conduct that interferes with photography may seriously affect the quality of the photographs taken and increase the number of times photos must be re-taken.
If the Client is unable to control the conduct of their guests, resulting in an unacceptable degree of misconduct, or if the conduct of any of their guests damages the equipment of the photographer, it will result in the early or immediate departure of the photographer. The Client understands that in such an event, no refunds will be granted.

PHOTOS:

The Client must download images immediately upon delivery to his/her personal computer or cloud-based storage. Heidi E. Reuter Photography is not responsible for images not downloaded and does not provide a hard copy of files.
No part of any order, including previews, will be delivered until the balance is paid in full.
An unlimited number of photographs will be taken, but Heidi E. Reuter Photography will have complete discretion as to the final delivery of files to the client.
Heidi E. Reuter Photography aims to send a link to download the edited digital images to the client within 2 weeks of event. The client has 30 days to download the files. The photographer will not provide other images or unedited images to the client.
The Client must download images immediately upon delivery to his/her personal computer or cloud-based storage. Heidi E. Reuter Photography is not responsible for images not downloaded and does not provide a hard copy of files.
Heidi E. Reuter Photography grants the Client full rights to reproduce photos. The client may print an unlimited number of images with the printer of the Client’s choosing.
The client is aware that color dyes in photography may fade or discolor over time due to the inherent qualities of dyes, and Client releases Photographer from any liability for any claims whatsoever based upon fading or discoloration due to such inherent qualities.

HOUSE RULES:

Heidi E. Reuter Photography is limited by the guidelines of the ceremony official or the reception site management. The Client agree to accept the technical results of their imposition on the photographer. Negotiation with the officials for moderation of guidelines is the Client's responsibility.

NOTICE OF COPYRIGHT:

It is ILLEGAL to copy or reproduce these photographs elsewhere without Heidi E. Reuter Photography's permission, and violators of this Federal Law will be subject to its civil and criminal penalties.
Client may not edit, color correct, crop, add a filter or alter images in any way.
Negatives, digital files, and previews remain the exclusive property and copyright of Heidi E. Reuter Photography.
Heidi E. Reuter Photography retains full rights to the photos and may use the Client’s images for any purpose, in any medium (such as but not limited to, posting on the photographer’s blog and Facebook page, social media, website, or printing for promotional purposes).

HOLIDAYS:

Weddings booked on a holiday: New Year’s Eve/Day, Easter, Memorial Day Weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday) Labor Day Weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday), Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day), will include a 25% increase to Collection 1. Please note the minimum collection booked must be Collection 1 - even if the total hours included are not needed.

By paying the retainer, the Client agrees to all terms and conditions. Any modifications of this Contract must be in writing and signed by both parties. I have read and understand this agreement, including the terms and conditions, Q’s and A’s and agree to be bound by them.
